We Watch Silently

We Watch Silently

Written March 12, 2020

they tell me that my lungs
are like sponges
endless pathways
hollowed rivulets
spiraling into oblivion
when my wish is to fill
balloons near my heart with
clean
sweet
air
uncontaminated by other people’s
breath soured with time

fluctuating between worlds

the good and bad
don’t care who make
their beds
