Omnipotent Disk
Written March 21, 2020
what do you think about
in the darkness of the morning?
you search for eyes to speak to
imagine a world in which
stars could fall freely
glass spares no reflection
the eye is convoluted
it tells refracted truths
fluid like water
it speaks in the tongue
unspoken
wallows gold in shifting dunes
sinks into the night
tender with darkness
ask it to listen
it stares
you know the words it whispers
summon stardust

The sensory details and figurative language bring each line to life. Each line flows to the next effortlessly and powerfully.
