Life in the Sky
Written August 19, 2020
there was a distinct salinity
a vague affinity
to life in the sky
the clouds would cluster
in cream and custard
because this was life
in the sky
there were mandarines
with perfume skins
to float on winds
and fish who flew
into a stew
when the sun
it warmed a bun
for this was life
in the sky
and no one died
and no one cried
and no one eyed
the apple pie
how beautiful
is a life
in the sky
